Project Location: Euston Station
Main Contractor: Costain Skanska
High Speed 2 (HS2) is a new high-speed railway line that will connect London with major cities of the UK. Euston has been chosen as the station where HS2 trains begin and terminate their journeys.
To support this, Euston Station is being modernised to include the addition of 11 new platforms, which will enable up to 18 trains an hour travelling north to locations such as Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and into Scotland.
The scheme also includes improvements to the urban realm and will integrate elements of the station with the surrounding communities. It will create a sense of place, with the new station acting as a catalyst in the regeneration of neighbouring areas.
