Project Description

London Fruit & Wool Exchange is located in the Spitalfields area of London bounded by Brushfield Street, Commercial Street, White’s Row and Crispin Street. The building is approximately 30,400m² spread over seven levels – basement (with part mezzanine), ground floor and five upper stories.

The principal function is high quality office space totalling approximately 25,600m². In addition, there is approximately 500m² allocated for a training centre and 3,050 m² of retail space for retailers and restaurants.

The design takes the form of a broad office building with two cores arranged around a central open courtyard and set behind the retained entrance façade of the London Fruit and Wool Exchange, with retail space animating the ground level street frontages. A public pedestrian route traverses the ground level in a north-south direction and a new public space enhances the south-west corner of the site.
